Unseenamerica is an eight-week curriculum-based program that teaches digital photography to underserved children living in stressed neighborhoods whose lives are often unnoticed by the community at large and the media. The curriculum focuses on teaching the children to document their daily lives, their families, their schools and their neighborhoods, allowing them a voice in their community.  Taught by a professional photographer, the curriculum is designed to instill a stronger sense of self and neighborhood through artistic practice and culminates with an exhibition of their work.
