 The
Creative Arts Center of Dallas (CAC) is a tax-exempt nonprofit
organization founded to serve as a cultural center for artists
and students alike. We depend upon the generous support
of our members to continue providing quality art instruction.
You can help us maintain our level of excellence in teaching
art, and ensure our unique place as a fine arts haven in
the Dallas community. Volunteers and Members are a critical
part of the Creative Arts Center of Dallas. Volunteer your
time for fun, creative and important events and activities

Our Mission Remains Strong: To provide
a nurturing environment for people to discover, develop,
and express their artistic vision.
Our History is Rich: The school has it
roots in the studio of Frank Reaugh, a famed western frontier
artist from the mid-1900's. He began teaching classes out
of his studio and home named “El Sibil” in Oak
Cliff in the 1950's. A former student, Estha Josey, purchased
the studio in 1963 and then donated it to the City of Dallas
for use as a public arts center. In 1965, the school was
incorporated as the “Creative Arts Center of Dallas,
Inc.”. In 1966 the trustees lured renowned sculptor,
Octavio Medellin, away from the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts
school to teach at CAC. Mr. Medellin taught at the school
until his retirement in 1980. Ultimately, CAC purchased
and moved to its current home on Laughlin, the original
Bayles Elementary School in East Dallas, in early 1990.

(65 and above) $35
- Individual $45
- Family $60 (one
household living at same address)
- Patron $100
- Benefactor $300 (includes one ticket to annual fundraiser)
- Corporate $500 (includes two tickets to annual fundraiser)
- Executive $1000. (includes two tickets to annual fundraiser and a complimentary art class)
